Pigeon Wing is an exceptional folding knife from the Forge de Laguiole Art Cutlery Collection. Crafted as a one-of-a-kind piece, this model showcases the creativity and technical mastery of Stéphane Rambaud through a light horn handle sculpted in the shape of a pigeon’s wing. Every curve, relief and detail reflects the pursuit of harmony between cutlery tradition and artistic expression.

Inspired by the grace of flight and the beauty of the natural world, this Art Laguiole knife stands out for the delicacy of its sculpted handle and the balance of its lines. The natural light horn reveals unique variations in colour and texture, making each creation entirely distinctive.

Forge de Laguiole Expertise in the Heart of Laguiole Village

Since 1987, Forge de Laguiole has preserved and elevated the cutlery-making tradition in its manufactory located in the heart of the village of Laguiole, on the Aubrac plateau. Within these workshops, each stage of production is carried out with meticulous care, from hot-forging the blades to assembly, chiselling and hand-finishing. Forge de Laguiole knives are handmade according to a cutlery-making tradition dating back to 1828.

The Art Cutlery Collection brings together the rarest and most remarkable creations produced by the manufactory. Each knife is entirely handcrafted and receives exceptional attention to detail. The sculpted Laguiole bee, finely chiselled spring an brass liners enhance the overall design and reflect the expertise transmitted through generations of master knifemakers.

A Unique Creation by Stéphane Rambaud

Born in Lyon in 1968, Stéphane Rambaud graduated from the prestigious Nogent Cutlery School. Awarded the Gold Medal for Best French Apprentice in 1987, he has developed a distinctive approach to fine cutlery, combining technical excellence with artistic sensitivity. Since joining Forge de Laguiole in 2005, he has created unique knives that unite heritage, innovation and personal inspiration.

For this folding knife, Stéphane Rambaud has sculpted the light horn into a subtle interpretation of a pigeon’s wing. The result is a remarkable piece that transcends its utilitarian purpose while remaining faithful to the iconic Laguiole silhouette.
